Large viscoelastic deformation of hard-magnetic soft beams

This work aims at developing a viscoelastic formulation for the time-dependent finite deformation analysis of beams made hard-magnetic soft materials (HMSMs) under magnetic loading. After introducing basic kinematic quantities, viscoelasticity HMSMs is developed, which general in sense that it can be used 2D and 3D geometries beside beam, plate, shell-type structures. Next, expression consistent fourth-order tangent tensors bodies are presented. Due to highly nonlinear nature governing equations, element numerical solution beam problems with various loading boundary conditions developed. To demonstrate applicability developed formulation, several examples provided. It observed case elastic deformations, results present very close those previously reported literature. For creep response simulated effect parameters studied. shown obtained qualitatively agreement properties deformations.
